MARGARITAS PODRIDAS WOW US

Friday was cold. WE missed yoga. Ni Modo.

There was no way WE were going to pass up a walk with the he dogs in a cold drizzle. They got to chase two of rabbits.  No luck catching one.

WE had fun.

WE listened to "Wow" by MARGARITAS PODRIDAS. The tune took US on a sonic trip that opened OUR senses to the wonders of creation.

MEATLOAF

The singer known as MEATLOAF has passed away at age 74. 

Aunt Tencha was a huge fan of the Texan superstar.

WE would talk about music back in the 1970s when WE were kids. Aunt Tencha had grown up in the 1960s. 

It was fun to discuss music with her. Classic rock, ranchera,  Top 40 and Chicano music played at the Dublin Ranch.

One day she asked me what I thought of "Two Out aof Three Ain't Bad". She loved it.

I told her it was a cool tune. Great lyrics.

May he rest in peace.

XERO HOUR

WE have heard good things about XERO SHOES. They are different. They are good for your feet. ait may be time to order a pair!

THE 90'S ON RADIO X

WE are fans of RADIO X which is a magnificent radio station in England! Today's rock and music from yesterday!

This evening they are playing music from the 1990's. 

Last century. 

Let that sink in.

Tunes that played at the Millennium Coffee Shop in McAllen, Texas. A cup of Joe.  A cup of tea. Open Mike Poetry Friday. Saturdays Live Music.  Tucked away by an ice House near the railroad tracks. A sketchy park across the street. An undercover cop on the roof as midnight saw  the doors close.

RADIO X takes US back to that side of the tracks! Just north of the old downtown!

Great music.  Interesting Times!

THE LAST WATERMELON OF 2021

Today WE brought in the last watermelon of 2021 from the field here in subtropical South Texas.  It feels like Summer here in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.

Autumn is absent.

The watermelon was slightly sweet.  WE are keeping the seeds. 

There are at least two plants that are flowering. 

WE do not think they have a shot at producing.
